| does anyone else have this problem??... nico was almost pee pad trained the first day i got him (he also pees and poops outside) ...but now that he is 8 months and just got fixed... i have 2 problems 1. nico will pee close to the pee pad..ie he will have one or 2 paws on the pee pad but will end up peeing 1/2 on the pee pad 1/2 off = more clean up!! 2. whenever we go visit my parents house he will "mark" the couch even though i walk him several times during our visit any ideas? has anyone tried having an actual pee pad pan (similar to cat litter pans) that way he would have to step into the pan?? Do you think he will stop marking at my parents it has only been 1 week post neutering.. any input would be great. thanks |

| I never used a pee pad... but you might consider a belly band while at your parents house. That way you can at least save their furniture

| My year-old Archie does the same thing with the pee pads! Sometimes he's either on the very edge, or misses it completely (but his front paws are on the pad). I think he thinks he's well on the pad because his front half is on there. If anyone has a solution, please share. I've thought of getting larger pads.

| So funny that you mention this. I am going to be trying this at my house this week. I saw it somewhere else on YT. I can't remember.

| o let me know how it goes. there is a special dog pee pad pan out there at petco for like $35 or $40 but i don't want to spend the $ if it's not going to work. we already tried the shallow pee pad pan and that didn't work at all, but he didn't have to step into it to get to the pee pad. |
