| Balding? Our little girl Lexus is 3 months old now, and it looks like she's starting to go a little bald on the top of her head. The vet says she's shedding her puppy hair and growing her adult coat, has anyone else heard of this, I couldn't find anything about it online. Maybe I need a new vet? |

| Just Bumping this up,i would love to know what everyone thinks about this?Im thinkinh it just may be that the hair does not lay flat and stands almost on end so when you look at there little heads you can see skin and then when there hair is longer it lays flat so you see less skin. What do you all think?

| Hayley did this also at about that age. Hers though I think was because she starting getting the gray like hair and it looks thin when it first starts coming in. Also her hair on top her head lookded oily all the time but too passed. Hopes this helps, Dont worry I dont think your baby is going bald

| I've seen this question asked many times. Did you ever see a woman who was growing out her grey hair? It's the same thing. The roots are light and the ends are dark so she'll look like she balding. Don't worry, your yorkie is perfectly normal. I don't know if they actually shed their puppy coat or if they just grow their hair longer. Yorkies change a lot as they become adults... Here's a couple pictures of Debbie: |

| Yeah, the same thing happened to my Simon. My friends called him baldy! I know, I've got to get some new friends that don't make fun of my dog! That pic is the best one I have of him at that stage, he's now 11 1/2 months, and I think his coat is going to turn out alright. No bald spots, at least. |
