| The Psycho Hours: Why is it that at the same time(3/4pm) every day, Peeka Boo goes CRAZY. He starts ripping and running everywhere and starts biting everything including my toes, fingers and knees. And he goes from kissing at you when you bend down to him, to jumping and trying to snap at you. I pick him up up and tell him no while pointing at his face, and put him in his crate and he calms down a little. But he doesn't really calm down until that time period is over. Is it just me? Or do other people have a hyper hour as well?? |

Lovin' 2 Girls Donating Member | Consider yourself fortunate... ....Abbie's hyper hour starts around eleven pm! She tears through the house like she's on speed, and shakes her toys until you're sure the stuffing will come flying out. She will not be ignored, so I just play with her to get her energies out. I think in her case, the hyper activity may be trying to put off bedtime..?

| Yeah, I wouldn't mind if he was just hyper but he gets SO MEAN! Usually he bites me by accident, like if he wants my socks and doesn't realize that my feet are in them, but during those hours he wants to chew on us and snap at our hands and its crazy! |

| WOW! Thought it was just my baby doin' that - with her it's around 7-8 pm and she too tears through the house like a banshee jumping on everything and everyone in the way and growling like a 10ft bear. Heaven help you if you try to catch her and succeed - she'll bite your face off!! |

| This is when a "get your toy" command is useful! They have so much pent-up energy that they don't know how to channel constructively. For many dogs, if you consistently have them get a toy every time they get excited, they will learn to do it automatically. Joey does. It's fun to watch.

Lovin' 2 Girls Donating Member | I'm sure the Dog Whisperer would tell us to "walk them every day", and I agree; but, for some of us, that's just not an option I feel so guilty that I can't get my Abbie and Mozart out for walks; but, I must first have someone to stay with my Hannah. And, I just don't have that right now.

| Woody's hyper hour is about 6 am. That's usually when my husband and I are getting ready in the mornings and he thinks we should only pay attention to him. He's so funny, running around, attacking our towels and socks and shoes and anything else that moves... |

| Yes..the hyper hours! Chibi becomes hyper around 3pm (around walk time) and the right after his daddy comes home. He bites too! Hyper hour begins with chewing on the table leg! Then he starts tearing around and biting daddy's socks (with his feet in them, of course). But we think it is because he is just too excited! I hope when he is done teething he with stop that! I love it...Yorkie furbaby's can be so similar in their behavior!

| When they try to chomp on me, I say "ouch!" really loud, and then ignore them. (for a few minutes) This won't stop psycho hour, but it did stop the eating my hand thing. I think the technical term for this time is "full of piss and vinegar" lol. Teresa |
