| I think excessive licking can actually be like an OCD type of disorder in dogs. If it is annoying, not excessive, just teach her a command to cut it out. Basically interrupt her, use a new word, and then praise her when she stops.

| My Yorkie is a licker too. I tell her no each time she does it and I move her face in a different direction. By the third time she finally stops. Since she has a short term memory this only works for a short while. |

| Its annoying but I thought maybe as a positive it a licking the baby clean thing With Yorkie's so small she might have to lick the babies clean after birth so all her annoying licking might help with birth Its the only positive I could find in her behavior to lick all God's creatures and herself constanly |
