| Sit, Down and other tricks I teach my baby to sit and lay down. She is doing preety good in just 1 week. However, she will not come to you when I call her name (on and off). What kind of tricks can you teach your baby ? most importantly I would like her to come if I call her. Thanks. |

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | If you can get her to sit and stay, "come" should be a piece of cake. Just reward her with a treat when you give the command. You might try long-distance "comes" too. Give the stay command and have a friend hold onto her while you walk 25 yards away and hide. Shout "come" while your assistant lets go of her. And reward her with treats and hugs when she reaches you. Good luck. Yorkies are very smart. P.S. She is incredibly cute in your avatar. Have you posted pictures of her?

| You could pat your chest with an open hand as you say come. That way, no matter how far away you are she'll recognize the command. Good luck!
