| What is the best way to get a pup to ASK to go outside? We are crate training now so our pup is either in the crate or we are watching her like a hawk. She never asks to go out we just take her out all the time (morning after meals before bed and every other hour in between). I would like to transition her to start asking to outside when she has to go. Any suggestions?

| Chloe hates the rain, or for that matter, just getting her feet wet freaks her out. If the grass is wet, but its not raining, she will pee in the street or driveway. If it is raining, what I did was I put a pee pad in my garage. So now when it rains (and hopefully in the winter when it is freezing out!) she will go into the garage and do her business on the pee pad. If you have a porch, you may want to try putting the pee pad on the porch, this way, she will still be "outside" when she pees, and hopefully it won't confuse her. |

| My hubby built a roof over Cewy's potty area... He's a builder so it is very sturdy and will with stand snow and all!!! But it took so long for him to get to it I thought about those big tarps you see at craft shows... just a thought... the roof keeps everyone dry and so if you cant build a roof...a craft tarp would be worth it I think!!!!
