| Venus's first ride in a car seat today We didn't go far just a few miles to the bank. She did great! Never once tried to get out of it, never once wimpered. She's just 4 months old. I have 2 car seats now, one for Adonis and one for Venus! Think I now have 2 dogs that love to go for a ride! Wonder how she will take to our next trip to Austin to see my mom now. Its only 10 hour drive |

| There are a lot of members on here that have taken their babies on long hour trips and they have done fine. I'm sure yours will too!

| We have taken ours on a four hour car ride before and they did fine. We just stopped at the rest stops and let them go to the bathroom

| The brand is "Outward Hound". I got both from Petsmart. Was one of the best investments I've made for Adonis. Adonis rides in his all the way to Austin, a 10 hour ride. I'm sure Venus will do fine on my next trip. Just kinda concerned about showing up with 2 dogs now, lol. |

| I have two carseats. They are the "Lookout seats." My dogs just love them. They are high and comfortable. The dogs can see out the windows or lie down and take a naps, etc. If we go for longer rides (several hours) - they sleep most of the time. I had my Bichon for several years with his carseat before I got my Yorkie. So - when I got my Yorkie - he got his own carseat. They ride in the back seat - and are both very good. They never want to get in front - because I've never let them. The one thing that is cute though is once in a while I look in the back and they have traded seats. Or I look in the back and they are both in one of the seats. but still, they are riding along just as happy as can be. ****** Another great thing about these seats is that - they never do any damage to the car. And - I have several friends with new cars with leather seats, etc., and they are all happy to take my two dogs (with their carseats) anywhere in their cars. We don't even have to worry about them. I think the "Lookout car seats" are great. Carol Jean |
