Hello and advice on indoor toilet training Hi, I have just joined your group. My name is Liz and I have recently settled in the United Kingdom from South Africa. We have just adopted a Yorkie pup, due to collect her a week today. I need advice urgently as we live in a flat. I want any advice and recomendations on in-door toilet training. I have owned Yorkies for years but not since living in a flat. We have access to lovely walk spots near the flat and the pup will be excercised outdoors regularly but I need a prooven indoor training regime as we hope to get her going on a routine the minute she arrives with us. I look forward to hearing from you all and have found the recent messages very interesting. Yorkie hugs Lizzie

I think they were 80 for $20 not on sale, and about $15-$16 on sale.

You all are very lucky parents! I got Meeko at 14 weeks from a great breeder. My only complaint about her was that she doens't even try to potty train them. So it took him longer to be trained. He is a year old now and is about 95% pad trained. He is a devilish one and sometimes goes elsewhere. We both work all day away from the house, so that increased his training time I think. I also think its my fault with to many options. He has a pad in the master bath because when we are in bed or in the shower, he is gated into the master with us. He has a pad in the living room for his free-to-roam times. And he has one on the balcony (we live in a mid-rise). I am concerning pulling up the one from the balcony. He doesn't use it much. But the other two, he uses LOTS. I had a big problem with him peeing on the edges, so I came up with a better solution that works for him. I have put a tuna-can under his pad in the middle, kind of an aiming device. LOL I works great. No matter how quick or how long, it takes patience and lots of it.
