| A tip for those training a new puppy to go outside... When you take your yorkie puppy outside to potty, don't make them come back in immediately. Wait a while and let them investigate their yard and you won't have so much trouble getting them to potty in the future! They catch on that if they go potty immediately that you'll take them back inside and they won't get to play outside.

| That is EXACTLY what my vet told me. He said they need extra time after they potty to just explore a bit. If they get the idea that after they go, they're going right back indoors, they will stop going outside. Makes sense! |
