| potty I have a problem with my 4 mnth old yorkie. We started doing the crate training.. and she holds it all night.. then I'll take her out and after about 5-15 minutes.. she'll poop... she'll go during the day.. but when its night time.. she just walks around and looks at every sound she hears...Tries to get the cat that hangs around and then we'll bring her in.. and she'll go right away in the house. How can I get her to poop outside at night? |

| Have you tried taking her out with a lead? I have to do that with Tia or she is after EVERYTHING!

| Do you feed her on a strict schedule? We feed Sully the same times every day and he poops like clockwork. In fact, at 8mo. old, we have started letting him roam free in the house instead of putting him up in his kennel when we're gone....and so far, NO ACCIDENTS! at all! woohoo!!!! (It's been 2 weeks since we started letting him roam free and it's been great!)

| Herk is getting the best of me He goes to his pad and then all of a sudden he decides to go beside it or somewhere he shouldn't. He was easy getting to go to his pad. The little monkey knows when he messes up. It's like he does it on purpose. I am having the hardest time with him tearing the pad up or dragging away just for spite. When he does it, he wants me to chase him. This is my first Yorkie and I had no idea they had such an attitude. LOL. He was my Christmas present from my husband. All of our kids are grown and married and it is like we just started over with a baby. |

| yes.. we take her out with a harness and leash.. we dont have a fenced in yard, and she has gotten pretty fast, plus I think it gives us more contact and more obediance to use the leash. My mom has a fenced in back yard.. and her dog stayed with me for a weekend and we had such a hard time with him cause he gets away with everything.. he hated walking on a harness. We feed her 3 times a day 2 pm, 7 pm, and 12 pm.. we don't get into bed until about 4 because my husband works 2nd shift, and I read its best to feed them no later that 3-4 hrs before bedtime. So they wont have to go the rest of the night. Also, sometimes when I take her out during the day and she does her potty.. we will come back in and she'll do it once or twice more. Do they ever really get potty trained? My 2 yr old yorkie will go outside, but occasionally pee inside. Rarely poops inside. I wouldn't mind so much, and I'm very patient.. but it makes the house reak of urine. |
