I Just Dont' Get It Chance was doing so well on potty training. Now every since I got him fixed he has basically had an accident once a day somewhere in the house. Once was right after I let him back in from being outside and he went pee outside. He was using the bell and now he only uses it if he goes number 2. I hate having to keep him confined and I hate using belly bands cuz they make his hair all matty but he is leaving me no other choice. Now I have Remmy my older dog do I let him run free while Chance is confined?

How long ago was the surgery? Maybe it left some swelling that is pushing on his bladder.

I would just go back to square 1 with Chance by confining him. You can definately keep Remmy out while Chance in confined. But is there any place you can confine Chance that Remmy cannot get to? I would hate for Remmy to torment Chance through the gate or crate or something. It also could be a result of the surgery. If it is still an issue at your next vet visit, I would definately mention it to him. Good luck! I am sure you will get everything worked out and back on track in no time!

Well I found he was marking upstairs so I confined him to downstairs when we are home. Now he is peeing upstairs. His stitches look as they are healing fine no swelling or anything visual on the outside. And his accidents are only once a day. He is 7months old I guess I just thought he was doing better. He does really good with #2 its just number one.

Could he be re-establishing his territory after being away for his surgery? Just a thought.

He could be...yesterday though he did pee right by the door. I was on the couch thinking...hmmm...its been about an hour since the boys have been outside so I get up to go let them out and Chance had just finished peeing right by the door.
