| Is this possible or was it just dumb luck?? Addy is 10 weeks now and we have been crate training since the day we got her. We constantly take her outside to "potty" and reward her when she goes. we wake up couple times in the night to take her....last two weeks you could say "need to go potty?" and she would run to the door. she goes immediatly and runs back inside for her treat. (when we first got her she thought outside was for play and sometimes we would wait 20 minutes just to give up and find her going inside as soon as we walked in. well yesterday mama and i had a scheduling conflict and we both ended up being away for 8 hours. we barricade addy in the kitchen with her crate, toys, food/water, and her pee-pad. tonya came home to find addy had not gone potty and as soon as she let up the kitchen gate addy sprinted to the door, tonya took her out and she went pee and poo multiple times.....confident we just got lucky we were all sitting on the couch today and addy jumped down and ran to the door. tonya said wheres addy? i was like she ran that way......we looked and there she sat looking at us. tonya opened the door and voila! potty she went! we havent had an accident in a week! this dog has got to be too young to actually be learning this???? what gives???? |

| Lol, some just learn quicker than others. It is funny how all the sudden it clicks!! I had the hardest time teaching Trixie that she either had to go outside or go in her pen on the pee pad and not the floor. Then one day it just clicked, it is wonderful when it happens. But don't jinx it, keep up with the training and rewarding, but it sounds like she has got the hang of it. Oh by the way I once had a puppy that was completely potty trained within one week, so it can happen. If she has picked this up so early I can bet you she will learn tricks and everything in a snap, atleast that has been my experience because it means they pick up on these alot faster than others normally would. Congrats on the success!!!!!

| I was wondering the same thing. I was hearing so many horror stories about potty training Yorkies I was honestly VERY anxious about it before we got Peach... BUT, just like Abby, she is create trained...goes a few times in the night...gets treats everytime she goes...runs to the door when we say "go pee?"...she is 12 weeks old. She had one accident on the drive home, 6 hour drive, and since we have been home (4 weeks now) she has pooped in the house 3 times and peed once, but they were ALL right by the back door, WE just didn't see her go to the door. I was thinking maybe because we had another dog, Peach goes out everytime our other dog goes out...but who knows...and I am NOT complaining! I say just enjoy it

| Well I think she is one smart girl!! I was lucky? like that with KimMee- she was very well potty trained by 3 to 4 months. My new girl Charlee is taking a bit longer- she is 5 months. I think some of it is the environment and how diligent you are but anyway- Congrats- if she regresses a little don't worry- sounds like she's got it going on. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Cali was the same trained in a couple of weeks. I used the Jump Start pee pads and swear by them
