| making noises...how do I stop? I've been using positive dog training...well...most of the time. Read up on all the clicker books...now if I could stop losing the darn thing. My issue is that Sparks (when he gets into his barking mode) ignores me. He has done REALLy well with training. Comes when called (even outside), heels, etc amist some distraction. Does okay in a park with a lot of distraction unless a dog is walking by really close. How can I get his attention when he is in his "I can't hear you" mode? and how do I stop whining, growling, and barking at night if the window is open and I am trying to sleep? suzie |

| I'm interested to hear responses. Loki goes into a barking trance when he is barking at people walking by on the sidewalk. Sometimes he will come away from the door when I call him, I will give him a treat, and he will resume barking. BUT there are times that I can wave fresh chicken under his nose and he won't stop. I'm trying to get him to only bark once (or not at all!) when people are walking by. He barks at everything! The neighbor going to get the mail, my husband walking into the room, a kid going by on a bike. (It's not a warning WOOF either, it's an all out howl. He's got lungs!) But he NEVER barks when we are outside on leash. His barking is all in the house. We've done many things the trainer has suggested and I'm either not doing it right or I need another suggestion... It's getting worse as we are keeping the windows open more.
