| Petsmart Training Classes Has anyone taken th training classes at Petsmart? I have thinking about taking Rocky there for training. I use to go to Man's Best Friend until they really upset me, so chose not to go there anymore. I just wanted so other peoples opinions before I decided. |

| I took Sadie there and we both LOVED it. We did the class that was the beginner class (but not the baby puppy class) when she was about 4 or 5 months old. It was so much fun and we had a great time! One suggestion if you do it...go buy a small bath mat. The lady who taught our class said that a lot of small breed dogs will not sit on the tile floor because it's too cold. True for Sadie. She never would do her commands until I started using the mat. It was funny because if I told her to sit, she would back up until she felt the mat and then she would sit. The woman who did our class was wonderful. We were lucky adn got into a small class, so we got more one on one attention from her. And the other dogs that were there were small too. I keep saying that when I get some extra money I'm going to go back and do one of the more advanced classes.

| I really liked taking Ginger to her Petsmart classes. The other dog owners had large bread dogs but they were still fun classmates. I didn’t do as much homework with Ginger as I should have so a lot of what was taught got lost. But I think the socialization part was very important for her development. I think if you are looking to really focus on behavior problems then a one on one type of situation would be much better.

| We have done private lessons at Man's Best Friend in Fort Worth, until they switched trainers on me and could not explain why. Rocky knows all his basic commands, but still has a problem with come. I think his nose gets the best of him. I really want him is a class with other dogs so that he can practice his commands with distractions. |

| We did the classe at Pets Mart. We had a blast! Katy still looks for all of her friends when we go. If you take them a word of advice. One of the first things that you will learn is the look at me command. I did not realize the importance of this until later in the class. But it is key to getting your babies attention to wait for your command. Have fun! |

| Love it! I love the training classes at Petsmart -- I'm currently in Week 4 of the puppy class, and my sweet baby cooper even met another yorkie there! They are great classes -- we already know sit and leave it and soon stay! |

| How old were your pups when they started? I want to sign Kona up but my vet advised her not being on the floor where other dogs were until she had all of her shots (parvo, boosters, etc) (about 20 weeks...). |

| Sadie was 4 1/2 or 5 months. And we did not do the puppy class. We did the beginner class. The trainer asked me if she needed socialization skills and was she scared of stuff (day to day stuff: loud noises, cars, people, etc.). I told her she was scared of NOTHING. And she loved all other dogs & people. She said that they work on that stuff in the puppy class & that she didn't need it so to do the beginner class. It was the best $100 I ever spent. We had so much fun and she still likes to do her tricks.

| Tink was around 20 weeks old when we started and Petsmart asked everyone that their puppies be vaccinated and have their rabies shot done before they can start the class.

| My sister took her dogs to petsmart training classes and she loved it. I've never been so I don't really know how it is but every time I'm there and a class is in session, I just stand and observe and it seems pretty good, in my opinion |
