| Eating poop... I know there are a lot of threads on poop eating but I need some advice. Two days ago, he didn't poop at all, so I thought. Then the next morning, he pooped on his pee pad and starting eating it. So my husband then says that he's probably been eating it that's why we haven't seen any poop for 48 hours. About 2 hours after the first incident, he pooped again, this time on my carpet and then my son says "STUPID DOG" and I've notice my son saying that every time he goes when he's not suppose to. would this have anything to do with him eating his poop? I've tried using deter and he is still eating it. |

| Although it might be disgusting to us, dogs love to eat poop, not all of them, but alot of them. It has nothing to do with anything anyone is saying to him, it is just their nature. What are you using to deter him from eating it and how long have you been using it?? I always clean my dogs poop up right away so they don't get the chance to do it, but I know that you can't be there the whole time to watch him.

| my tucker is 4 mos and he recently started eating his poop. my vet gave me for-bid to sprinkle on his food. he said when it comes out, something about it makes the poop unattractive. it seems to be working so far... and the vet said we shouldn't have to do it longer than 4 or 5 days. maybe you should ask your vet? |

| The dog whisperer talked about this on Oprah yesterday. He said that the dogs are just looking for something interesting and poop is the first thing they see. He suggested you put more interesting things in the grass. I think he mentioned toys. Lola has never eaten her poop. Thank God.

| Actually, one of the main reason dogs will eat poop is because they can detect undigested food and nutrition in their poop or others. So they are actually going for the undigested food, not the poop itself, it just so happens that they have to eat both to get what they want. Its all very disgusting!!

| Pooh Eating Hello My 3 month old female Yorkie thinks her pooh is the best food in the world! GROSS! I have to go out with her in the back yard with a bag to pick it up the second it hits the ground or she will eat it! My Vet told me about the stuff you sprinkle on their pooh but I am not a fan of chemicals. Inari |
