| It CAN be done!! Well, I've posted a lot since getting my new pup and thank you to all the advice because it has really helped!! We are working on pee pad training AND outdoor training. Long story as to why. I didn't think it could work BUT I've been asking sparks "need to go to the bathroom?" and I bring him either outside (usually during the day and if it isnt' raining) or inside in the bathroom on a pad. I say "go pee" and "go poo" and he does know the commands after 3 weeks but gives me a little bit of a hard time about doing it right away. He is a "busy" dog. He no longer gets the bathroom mat confused with the pad and the only accidents he has is if he is too busy and he will have them anywhere. Very few though. He hasn't learned to "ask" but will play in the house and run to the bathroom if he has to go. We are slowly making progress....but it can be done! 2nd I posted about sleeping with me right away. He sleeps right through the night, without any problems. Sleeps right next to me. doesn't get up to pee or anything...so I didn't have to crate train. Anyways, hope this helps anyone, and thank you for all the help! suzie |
