| Newly Adopted!! [FONT=Comic Sans MS][COLOR=DarkRed] Greetings, I am on my first week with my newly adopted Yorkie. He is four years old and I do not know much about his past. So far, he has been a great addition to my home but I wonder about the following: He begs when we eat but table scraps are bad right? He gets VERY excited and piddles a bit, any suggestions on how to correct that? How much do they sleep? How many treats are too many? Anyone have any suggestions for four year olds? Thanks! |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Welcome and congratulations. Is he neutered that may help with the peeing. If it's only when he's excited he may calm down after being with you for awhile. Begging is bad but hard to resist. Healthy treats in moderation. 4 year old dogs can sleep quite a bit so as long as he is lively when he's awake I wouldn't worry. You will get tons of useful infor on here. Try and post pictures when you can.

| welcome to YT!!! Good for you on adopting! he will probably quit the piddling when he calms down. And try not to feed him scraps, no matter how good they are at begging lol. can't wait for pictures! welcome again!
