![]() You might want to get some ear plugs for sleeping at night. ![]() Just try to ignore her and not say a word. She'll lie down and go to sleep - eventually. She may keep testing you but you can't give in. ![]() Good luck!

| ![]() I really don't think a dog would pee or poop around the house because they are jealous of another person.....this is beyond me. Whatever her problem is (and you may never know) -- looks like you're going to have to go back to square one with potty training for a while. And - it shouldn't take so long this time....she is older and can go longer without peeing than she could when she was a pup. Also - summer is here - I think this is a big help as far as going outside is concerned. Good luck! Carol Jean |

| ![]() Suggestion..... a dear dear friend (yes, you know who you are) pre-ordered a copy of Cesar's Way . I have a different problem with my two girls fighting..... I have started taking Chattie and Peppy for "power walks" and Chattie's attitude has improved tremendously and Peppy isn't nearly so yappy. As soon as the pups are weaned, I will start taking Chattie and Chizzie for walks together.... I am convinced that this is the answer to my fighting problem. Even if the book doesn't help the potty problem, it is a great insight as to dog pack behavior. A HUGE THANK YOU to my dear friend.... |

| ![]() Oh Gina! I am so happy for you that things are looking up. I know it was upsetting there for awhile but it sounds like everything is back on track again. Good luck.

| ![]() I hear the same thing from MANY Yorkie owners. You are not alone. My little one, Winston, was the same way. He peed everywhere. What I have ended up doing is buying wee-wee pads (or Piddle Pads found at PetSmart). I place one of them where Winston seems to go the most. Then tell him "Go pee on the wee wee pad" again and again. When he finally does, I cheer and holler...even if it is after the fact. I give him treats and say good boy. If he pees anywhere else I make an angry face and say "No No, go pee pee on the wee wee pad." It took a while (umm, like a year), but now he only goes on the wee wee pad or outside. I find that Yorkies, especially small ones, have incredibly small bladders and cannot wait to go outside always. When they have to go, they have to go! The wee wee pad works in this case. Hope this helps! Good luck! |
