Doggie Toys Hi Everyone, I am getting a new Yorkie June 6 and she will be 10 weeks old. What kind of toys do you have for your little furbabies. I am thinking about getting the material kind of toys. So afraid of rubber or plastic that she might bite into the toy and choke on the rubber or plastic. What are your thoughts. I had a Yorkie before but never introduced her to toys and when I did it was too late and she was not interested. I want to get this little girl interested in toys and spend time playing with her. Thanks for your help. Marhat

I would get a few tosee which she likes and then take it from there. I have bought toys she doesn't seem interested in and some she loves.

| I just brought my new little Morgan home on Thursday and she is 9-weeks. She enjoys toys that squeak, the puppy KONG, and her little tug-o-war rope she plays with alone. Hope this helps.

Ollie loves her stuffed bunny and a fisher price snoopy pull toy. She also like to play with a long piece of wide ribbon. And she loves beef stick chewy things. I put her to bed with her bunny and she will go and get it during the day even though she has a dozen other stuffed animals.

One of my Yorkie's favorite toys is a soft plastic thing that squeaks. Because it is so soft - it almost squeaks if he only looks at it. Anyway, he has played with it for hours and hours and has never chewed a piece off of it. What is so cute is that every once in a while - in the middle of the night - I wake up hearing "squeak squeak squeak squeak squeak." And, of course, I finally have to get up and take it away from him. It's quite loud. Some of his other favorite toys are just stuffed animals. He runs around with them a lot. And, unfortunately, I think his real favorite toy is my Bichon - who would like to be left alone occasionally. And, of course, some other favorite toys of his aren't even toys at all....like the toilet paper roll or anything I drop on the floor. He will play with a comb for hours - and loves washclothes and a million other things he discovers around the house. Carol Jean Carol Jean Last edited by SnowWa; 04-02-2006 at 01:09 AM.

Thanks so much everyone. You have given me some great toy ideas. I will have a good time at Petsmart getting all the great toys, a little bed for my furbaby, Jasmine and puppy food (Iams) or do you all recommend something else. Treats like Snaps, Snauges(? sp). Can you tell I am really excited and can hardly wait until June 6. Seems like forever!!!!!!
