| Can your babies SWIM? Just wondering, do yorkies know how to swim naturally? If not, how do you train them? How do we prevent water from entering their ears (how we always plug their eyes with cotton ball when we bathe them).. I would love to take Bambi and Man-Tou for a swim!

| I let my bunny play in a tub full of water when she was a pup and added more water each time she took a bath, to get her use to deeper water. Then it was to a point where it was deep enough for her to swim a little but still be able to touch the ground. Now I cant get her to stay OUT of the tub when I am taking a bath or shower OR get her to stay out of the rain. She loved water, even when you put it in her face. |

| Never let them ssqim unless you are in close enough range to grab them because their hair weights them down and it has been posted on here before a few times about yorkies drowning in pools and such. |

| I bought Bailey one of those baby pools,, thinking he would like it when it's hot out,, He could care less, I'd put him in he'd jump out.. So eventually I gave it to my neighbor she has 2 yorkies,, THEY LOVE it, she can't keep em out of it....

| really? I didnt know that. but I keep my Bunny's hair cut short. Here in Germany, there is no centreal hair and heat. So during the summer, it gets a little to hot for her. |

| My Chanel can swim and loves it, my Chelsey cant swim and yet loves to jump in the water, my husband found her just in time last summer, so now they both wear swimming vests when we go near water. Be careful with your pooch around water because they are not affraid of it!

| My daughter put Gracie in the pool a few times last summer. She could swim but looked miserable. Spike fell in the pool a few weeks ago and immediately started swimming. He was scared to death though. So I guess they can swim if they HAVE to but they sure wouldn't do it by choice. |
