| ![]() I am bumping this thread up because I am wondering if anyone is having good success that has tried these poochie bells. My main concern is that they use them to go out and potty and not PLAY all the time. Has anyone had good success? How are they working for you? Yah ![]() ![]() |

| ![]() I made my own but they are the same, mine just have extra bells. Loki rings them when he needs to go out. Sometimes he will ring them when someone is outside that and he wants to go see them, but generally I know if someone is there and usually he is barking AND ringing in that situation. Otherwise he only rings them to potty. In our situation the bells are on the front door and Loki goes out on a leash, so there really isn't a lot of "playtime" He does not ring them when he wants to go for a walk though.

| ![]() I made my own also. Joey doesn't go out on a leash and yes, he does go out to play alot without pottying. It's not an issue for me. I'm fine with letting him out when he wants to go regardless of the reason.

| ![]() Mine are very good about ringing the bell when they want to go potty, but they do ring it when they just want to play or, like Erin said, if someone is outside and are curious. You just have to pay attention. As a general rule, I take mine out usually every three hours and ignore it if they ring the bells inbetween unless they didn't go potty the previous time.

| ![]() And yes the go through a paise where they ring that dang bell constantly. don't give up. Basically you need to stress potty when the ring the bell then come right back in when they are done. He got the association after a while. He did go through a regression as well where he stopped ringing them but i just said ring you bell if he was standing by the door. And he would after a few mintues when i did not get up to let him out. Overall I think they have worked very well for us and if I ever got another dog I would use them again.

| ![]() i'm thinking of getting a bell to use in order to help train my little one....he knows going outside is good but he doesn't tell me when he needs to go so i'm hoping this will help...any suggestions on where i should put the bells....i live in a split level house so we have to go down a flight of stairs to go outside and he mainly stays upstairs....even though he is capable of going up and down the stairs on his own he won't leave my side so should i put the bell somewhere at the top of the stairs??? thanks! |

| ![]() I made my own bells, but have not been successful in getting Louie to use them. I tried touching his paw to them and he wants nothing to do with them. I think he may even be afraid of them. ![]()
