| I am having the same issues with my male yorkie, currently 4 months old. He would bark everytime I put him in his room for bed. I just purchased a "petsafe ultrasonic bark control unit - model bc-1000" it emits a ultrasonic sound everytime the dog barks. Here's a brief info on what the unit does: "This training tool has been developed to discourage your pet’s barking in a safe and humane way both indoors and outdoors*. It is great for your dog, a kennel environment or your neighbor's dog! It's automatic! How it works 1. The unit is activated when the internal microphone picks up the constant barking sound from the dog. 2. The activated unit emits a two-second ultrasonic sound that can only be heard by the dog. 3. Startled by the high-pitched sound, the dog should stop barking, as it will associate its bark with this unpleasant noise. " I picked up the unit at petsmart. It's been working great for me. He will bark 2 - 3 times then stops completly. Once he learns not to bark when I put him in his room then I will remove the unit. I do know that some individuals have mentioned that it doesn't work for them. Just a suggestion for you to try.

| When my Teddy came home as a new baby the first night I put him in his crate to sleep in the living room right outside my room and he cried after about 5 minutes I got up picked up the carrier and put it right on my nightstand. Not another peep. to this day he either sleeps with us or in his crate right next to my side of the bed and is quite happy as long as he is close. Kim
