| teeth brushing tips Chewie has digestive issues, and I know that's probably the culprit for her bad breath. I also think she needs to have her teeth brushed. However, we cannot get her to let us brush her teeth thoroughly. All the training tips I have aren't working. Trainer is due in for a one on one, and I believe that her vet visit tomorrow will also be a time to discuss her upcoming teeth cleaning. I'll be telling the vet of course. I just want to be able to wash her beard each night without having to hold her down, and get back behind her molars. She'll sit on command, come to me, lay, etc, but she becomes a tornado during teeth brushing. |

| In stead of a tooth brush, have you tried Finger-sized dental cleaning mitts.

| Yes, but not for quite awhile. I even still have it in her drawer in my vanity. At the very least it'll be faster and easier, so thank you. I'll try that while we are focusing on this issue. |

| I use. Tiny little tooth brush, kind of fits on your finger, I think it is CET. Cali does not mind brushing I think because she loves the Petsmile toothpaste and that may be key.

| You can try to start rubbing her teeth from the outside of the skin, whenever you handle her. And then start rubbing/massaging her actual teeth and gum with your finger. That would get her used to being handled. And then, start using a bit of dog toothpaste on your finger while rubbing/massaging. Then, put the dog toothpaste on those finger toothbrushes. Finally, try introducing an actual tiny toothbrush with bristles. ...All over the span of many weeks.

| If you use an enzymatic tooth paste you really don't even have to brush but get it on her teeth.

| You can go to the VOHC web site and see the products they recommend. We use Petsmile. Supposedly you don't have to actually brush but we do. Cali loves the taste and will lick it right from the tube!

| I use coconut oil on Loki's chewtoys as well as brushing with it. I even use it for my own teeth. PawCulture |
