| Stop That! Ok so I bought the stop that spray at the recommendation of people on the forum. My question is how long before its effective, I already used the whole can in 1 night. Am I using too much? or is my little fur baby just not affected by it at all, he was actually trying to bite the can when I sprayed it. Thanks |

| Oh eek! Then that isn't the answer for him. Usually it works immediately- they hate the aerosol noise. Maybe buy a bark genie? |

Have you tried shaking pennies in a can to control the barking? I read your other thread and I agree with the suggestion to increase his exercise as much as possible. Also, have a daily routine, a sort of schedule, as much as possible. The routine will have a calming affect as he matures, since he will know when to expect outings and playtime. Work on basic obedience training. Whenever my boys get out of hand wrestling, I distract them with a couple minutes of performing tricks for treats (single kibble for each trick). Then they settle down. When your pup goes off on a barking jag, give the "quiet" or "settle down" command or whatever you use. If he continues, say, "Okay, I'm leaving." Walk out of the room to a place he cannot follow. My boys can't follow me out of the "great room" living area, and they hate when I leave, so this is very effective with them.

| I bought the Bark Genie.........mostly because one of the comments was about a Yorkie that it worked on........ doesn't phase my Buddybear, except to make him bark more if he sees me pointing it at him.
