Senior Yorkie Talker | Good Grief! My 3 month old is defiling all his toys! My Goodness! He's just a baby for heaven's sake!!! Mother Nature just flipped the switch and his hormones kicked right in!! Yesterday he started humping everything we could mount!! It's his favorite new game!! There isn't a toy left he hasn't taken advantage of. Is this normal....I mean at 3 mo. old? It's too bad he is going to be neutered, from the looks of it, he'd be a great stud!!

| Some pups start early. Max had one toy -- a sheep -- that brought this out in him at 14 weeks. I put the sheep away. He also started leg lifting to pee at this early age. If you want to discourage the behavior, you can redirect him every time you see it. Try engaging him in play, even if it is just for a couple throws of fetch. If he humps human legs, I would definitely discourage that with a "down" or even toned "no." That said, Teddy does occasionally hump Max when he is excited. We tell him to stop and he does. Neutering will help, but will not necessarily end the behavior.

YT 500 Club Member | Humping Well, I visited my 6 week old puppy and that was the first thing he did. I was on the floor and he got my leg. Can you believe that? The breeder was there and said male or female they are showing who the boss really is. So his toys don't have a chance. 😆 |

| When I brought my baby home at 11 weeks, he went crazy on his blankie. He has never stopped either! Nobody wants to touch any of the babies (stuffed animals) because he just loves all of them. He will grab them within seconds of me pulling them out of the dryer and drag them to his bed and work his magic! He is a marker, so I keep a belly band on him. Well, he grows out of his belly band! If you know what I mean! lol Boys......... |
