| Not sure what is wrong??? Help!! I have a 15 mth old male. He has been the absolute perfect dog until recently. He has always used his potty pads or whine to go out, he has always willingly went into his crate when it was time, he didn't whine or bark.... DIDN'T!!! We own 10 acres. We have a rental house next to ours that my mother-in-law lives in... My mother-in-law has 2 strays. One is a boy that was a rescue and the other is IDK but she is less than 20 lbs.. a smaller breed dog. My yorkie, Charlie, goes out to play in the early morning. We go to potty and he runs down to her yard to play with her 2 dogs. I have never had an issue. I would call him and he would come running in. Well, the female dog at mil's went into heat 2 weeks ago.... Charlie has went CRAZY!! I have no clue who this dog is... he sneaks out any way that he can.. if we crate him, he yelps in this high shrill voice... he doesn't eat or sleep... he only thinks about getting to that dog!! I am having him neutered. But, will that be the end of this behavior. I am really worried. |

| Hi and welcome to YT. I am not sure if it will completely end his behavior but it might decrease his obsession. Buster was neutered very young and does not seem to notice when girl dogs are in heat. Hopefully others who have had their dog neutered later will give you their opinion.

| Hi, I think the neutering will eventually help. Just wondering why your MIL hasn't spayed her female?
