| ![]() Since this thread was just brought back up I will give an update. I now have my boy (ended up getting a Shih Tzu) and he will be 4 months old on Friday. So far no marking (knock on wood). He is fully potty trained to go outside and still squats to pee. I will have to make sure I keep an eye out for him lifting that leg in the house. I will be getting him neutered at about 5 1/2 months old and hopefully avoid any marking issues! |

YT 500 Club Member | ![]() So Yorkies are like a small box of expensive chocolate.... you never know what you're going to get. Or if they're going to mark, or bark, or mind for that matter... lol. But they rock anyway. |

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | ![]() Galen was neutered at 8 months. He does not mark. And I have other pets in the house . . I grew up with males and never had a problem with marking

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | ![]() I've always had male dogs and none of them marked and some were adults when they got neutered. However, I never had "other" dogs visiting me. Now with three grand dogs who come over all the time, one of whom thinks this is his house because he was here before Joey, I have a problem with all of them marking. I think it's the smells of the other dogs that make them territorial.
