| HarleysMomma1 | 10-22-2014 07:54 AM | Haven't posted here in a while! Harley got neutered on Saturday, my god am I disappointed! They call at 4 pm and say everything went great and it's time to pick him up, so I do my big sigh of relief and get in the car. 30 SECONDS later they call and say harley had complications during surgery and now he's having episodes and pooping blood please get over here. So I drive over like a mad woman, I walk in and they say they've never seen anything like that after surgery so it must have been something "I let him eat" and gave him an antibiotic for his tummy. The nurse looked at me and said yeah it was really gross he pooped all over the crate and I had to clean it up so I don't know what you fed him but you should stop feeding him that... I felt embarrassed because I haven't had any problems with him having an upset stomache and I wanted to scream at them! Not only did they shun me... They handed him to me and what so you know, he's got the poop matted onto his but and all up in his paws and smells terrible! I said so you cleaned the crate but you couldn't clean him off? He just had surgery for god sake. Couldn't that cause an infection? They said well he's on antibiotics so.. He should be fine. I was so mad! Anyway I got home he did have an upset stomache for the rest of the night now it's 5 days later and haven't had any problems since so I'm convinced it's from the surgery/medicine/& being in their crate for the whole day that day. He's fine now. Oh and not to mention they told me they didn't have any e-cones that would fit him and neither did petsmart and I ended up having to buy one that is fit for a German shephard so it's huge and very awkward on him. Needless to say I'm sick of banfield! On the plus side he's feeling great, about 6 months old and hasn't had a potty accident inside in over a month, and he's healing up just fine from his surgery! So despite the problems we have with the vet I'm so happy my little boy is feeling good :-) thanks for everyone's support! |
