| Help with Possible Separation Anxiety I have a 2 year old yorkie who whines every time my husband leaves in the morning and if he isn't home by a certain time in the evenings. She gets super excited just before he leaves and practically attacks the door when she hears his key. When she was about 6 months old he was deployed for a year and she definitely noticed his absence. We moved at the begining of April which is when the whining really started. This was the first time she'd ever been on an airplane and had to be in cargo the whole time because it was an international flight. I stay home all day with her so she's never alone unless i have errands to run. She doesn't seem to be as concerned when we both leave together only when he leaves by himself. I'm not sure if this is separation anxiety or if she's just confused by the new surroundings(we still aren't completely unpacked). Any advice is welcome. |

| have you tried having him say wear a shirt a few times without washing and leave it for her on her bed to snuggle with when he leaves? just a thought to see if it is him she is missing or the surroundings. she may need time to adjust to the new home. welcome to yt!
