| ![]() I will try to make this as short as possible We have a 6 month old 9lb schnauzer/yorkie mix that has always had a tendency toward being aggressive. But lately it's gotten really bad. She can't be taken anywhere or be around people other than some family cause she growls and will lunge and try to bite. A little back ground. We brought Juno and her sister home about 4 months ago. We kept 1 puppy and the other went to a friend of my daughter. They basically kept her caged for 3 weeks (we didn't know till we got her back) then decided that they no longer wanted her. I kept her for 2.5 months while my sons home was being built. The took her home a few weeks ago. She was doing well until they had a relative ( grown adult who should have known better)visit who basically terrorized this puppy. They did put her in her puppy playpen and close the door but the damage was done. Ever since she has been so aggressive towards anyone who comes to the house. Growling and trying to bite. We are at a loss as to what to do. Any advice would be appreciated! TIA |

| ![]() This is very sad for the puppy. She will likely need intensive training and patience to learn to trust people again. I would find a trainer who believes in positive reinforcement methods.

| ![]() Are you sure this human made your puppy this way ?? I got mine , full breed, at 10 weeks .... Sweetest little thing ever ... I read all the books .... Did everything right ... He listens to commands, does tricks , he is a little love bug ... BUT ..... When he turned 6 months .... He became this Monster dog !!! Still sweet ... But so SO aggressive ... There were absolute NO experiences of abuse .... He knows that i am Alpha .... But he is a mess .. He bites everyone that comes into the house .... Besides my family .. I cant even walk him IN MY ARMS out to the car without him going totally Cujo on me .. This is not just an aggressive dog that barks n growls .... He wants to tear someone's head off .... I cant even let him in the car if we run to the grocery store because he goes ballistic on ppl walking by. The Whole Reason i spent the money on a small dog was to take him places with us .. I cant even take him for a walk !! If he sees a bag along the road , he goes so nuts everyone runs to the windows to see what's going on ! And i just learned that i will never be able to place him in a kennel if i want to go on a vacation. !!!!! SOoo frustrated ... But so in love with him ! He is my best friend .... But he is controlling my life !! I just wonder if there is any hope ..... My plan was to get another puppy .... But he gets so worked up his body gets hot, he gets hoars and shakes ... AND turns on ME ... To the point of drawling blood !!! ANY SUGGESTIONS ??? ... PLEASE ?? |

| ![]() Not being a trainer I can't say for sure but I think she is just very insecure and when this man terrorized her it just made her insecurities worse. She was just settling in to her 4th home in 6 months. I hope we haven't done so much damage to her that it is beyond repair. My daughter in law is so in love with this puppy and she can be the sweetest thing ever when she is with us but anyone who comes near her or into the house is fair game. We are in the process of looking for a trainer who can help us but any suggestions would be very much appreciated |
