| potty taining help needed!!! We have 2 schnauzer/yorki mix puppies. one is my daughters and one is my sons. They will be 4 months old next week. Puppy #1 (Chewy)we have had for about 5 weeks. She does pretty well with puppy pads however she still needs to be contained in 1 room to have success all the time. when she roams free thru the house she will have accidents. Now puppy #2 (Juno) is a different story. friends took Juno since my daughter only wanted 1 puppy. Unknown to us they crated her almost all of the time, seldom letting her out, putting a puppy pad in the crate where she did her business and had to lay in it all day. Decided after 3 weeks they no longer wanted her so we took her back. My son will take her but they are building a new home and it wont be finished for about 6 more weeks and they cant have her where they are so I will keep her for them. I am lost as to how to house train her. nothing works. she gives no sign as to if she is looking for a spot. Ive seen her run full speed-stop squat pee-and take off. she wont use the puppy pad unless she is given no other choice. at night she sleeps in a pack n play with her bed and puppy pad. she usually does not go at night but i want her to have it available if needed. I have to keep her confined to a small space in the kitchen during the day otherwise she just pees everywhere. I was hoping she would see chewy using the pads and follow her but no such luck. Ive trained dogs before no problem but nothing I try works for Juno. Im at my witts end!! Any advice would be greatly appreciated. |
