| Bitter Spray~Biting Ok, I did the whole spray my hands, spray objects, and even spray it in her mouth. She likes it!!! She keeps licking it off and is still play biting. Darn does it hurt. I went the cheaper way and bought PetGold Bitter Break Spray. Maybe I should buy the Grannick's Bitter Apple spray. What do you guys/gals use? PS. I'm sorry in advance if I'm asking questions that have been answered many times before. I am new and there are a MILLION threads to read.

| Probably all bitter apple sprays are going to be the same. Try roll on deodorant and see if that works.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I tried everything with Cali nothing worked. I went with the cheap spray bought the bitter apple, tried the deodorant. She is now 6 months old and much better about biting. Still bites a little but not like she use to.

| Yuck I keep getting that bitter spray taste in my mouth. It tastes like the No Nail Biter stuff I used to put on my nails in high school. I don't know HOW she can stand it!!!

| I used the bitter apple spray when I had a Miniture Pincher and he LOVED it. So it did not work for us . He broke his arm and kept eating off his cast and I swear every other day I was taking him to the vet to get a new cast put on and I was desperate for that bitter apple stuff to work and that little brat would actually lick it with enjoyment

| Mine hates Bitter Apple. She goes in the opposite direction when she sees the bottle come out even... I wonder what a little cayenne pepper would do?

| Pull out the treats.. She can not be chewing on things all the time. So in the second what ever it is is out of her mouth, click or say yes and treat it. Load the clicker first or the yes by repeating yes or the click a few times and giveing a treat. Then pass her a thing that is ok to chew and if she likes. find a toy or a bone or a raw hide. Budda bones anything that she will chew that is dog ok. Once she is chewing that click and treat that to. keep on cathing her doing the good stuff and redirecting the bad stuff. Calmly if she puts her teeth on you stand up or turn your back count ten and turn back and continue to play with her and the toys. get her out and get her busy and tired. If she tired she will not be able to chew. Joy |
