| Sleep, I need Sleep! Ok, Izzy has been going CRAZY at night when we try and sleep...i can't take it much longer..we put a clock and bear in her kennel and everything...i think tonight her kennel is going to be put into another room, any other suggestions? i feel guilty putting her into another room, we ignore her when she is in our room so i feel like what would be the difference if she were in another room and we are still ignoring her...i need help! |

| Wow, I am impressed that she barks differently for the potty. You might want to check out the thread/poll on members letting their little ones sleeping with them. These are very social little guys and they do not like to be separated from the pack. Is there any chance you would let her sleep with you? You could have steps/pillows set up for her to go down for her pee pads or she might wake you up with her potty bark. All 10 of mine are in the bedroom with the littles ones sleeping in bed with me.

| she is only 7 weeks old and only weighs a pound so i would be super nervous to let her sleep with us just yet...she is really tiny...in the am she wakes up at 5:30 or 6 and then i take her into bed with us...but i am not sure how i feel yet about the entire night since she is so little...do you think maybe putting her kennel up high enough so she could see us would help or would that make her even more anxious cause she can see us but can't sleep with us? |

| Lilly did that at 8 weeks for about a week straight, I feel for you We never had her in our room with us but had her in her own room with a gate and her kennel and toys etc., I think she was nervous and a little scared so I would go in there about ever 3 hrs and hold her for a little bit and put her back to sleep. it was very hard but she got used to it and does really well now. I found it easy if we wore her out at night, play with her like crazy before you go to bed. She would sleep like a baby haha. |

| Try putting a towel over the crate so she cant see you. My little girl would cry untill she saw me lay down in the bed then she would stop.

| Good Lord, 7 weeks old Go out and buy her a little donut bed and put it between your two pillows so she is with you and you won't be nervous about rolling onto her. She is so young that she still miss's her mom and is scared.

| Melissa here is a good thread to understanding puppies. I don't mean this dis-respectful but I really don't think your little one has a different bark yet, she is just to young. Do not be surprised if she has accidents as at this age they don't even know what they are doing with they go the bathroom. The ideal age to adopt a Yorkie puppy is 12 weeks and yours was only 6 weeks. Even though she was weaned off of her mom the mom dog teaches them many skills from 6 weeks to 12 weeks. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...t=puppy+stages

| I got Coco at almost 12 weeks old and she cried and cried and tried to paw the crate allllllll night for a MONTH! I was a walking zombie at work. I didn't want her to sleep in my bed, because she was too small, at less than a pound and I didn't want her to pee in my bed. So after about a month, I smartened up and put her crate on my nightstand. This way she saw me while I slept. This quited her down completely. At about 4-5 months old, when I had her potty trained, she started sleeping with me. But once I put her near my head, on my nightstand, the crying stopped. Hope that helps.

| I got Gucci at 2 mts. old she is now 1 1/2 yrs old. From day one she was well behave, I was scared to put her in my bed being she was so tiny. She sleeps in the laundry room next to my family room in her crate. I have the doorway gated she has ample space in there. I leave her crate open and she is pad trained and also to go outside. I keep her water in the room also along with toys. When she was younger I would keep her in the room when I went out for the day. Now that she is older I let her stay upstairs in my kitchen and living room when I am out. She still sleeps downstairs and is fine with it. Your puppy is still young so let her get use to her kennel now if you put her in bed she will expect to sleep there. Gucci does come up in morning and get in bed with me. It works out for us both... |
