| Yorkie protests many things... Hello, I'm new here - this is my first post, so Hello everyone I have a question for other Yorkie owners. My yorkie is named Igby, and he's about 1 year and 3 months now. He gets really mad at me whenever I rip a paper towel off the roll, touch any window blinds (or even walk near them for that matter), take out the ironing board, take out the vaccuum. He actually protests! He tries to attack whatever it is that I'm interacting with and even goes so far as to take it out on and beat up one of his toys if he can't get his way. Has anyone else ever seen this before? It wouldn't be so bad except for the loud screeching and barking that he does when he's angry. Some day I hope to be able to walk towards the paper towel roll without him starting a riot. Either way, he's still my best bud and I never get mad at him for it, but I would like to correct it if possible. The typical stern no doesn't do a thing. Thanks! Terrence |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Hi and Welcome to YorkieTalk! I wish I had an answer as to why you and your furbaby are having these issues. I know there are others here who should have plenty of tips and advice for you to try. I hope that you will stay around our community. It is so full of great information and the people are very caring and very smart when it comes to Yorkies...any furbutt really. There is also a search window almost mid-way down on the right hand side of the page. Please feel free to search or just read through the forums.

| I really have no advice since I have the same issue with my yorkie, Jamie. She freaks out when we take the garbage out. She also goes crazy when either my husband or I leave. |
