| Random Barking? Louie is the best. He's almost 5 months old now and he is a ball of fun. He's getting better every day with his potty training and has even been rining his bell with his nose when we take him over to the back door and ask if he wants to go out. He's learned to sit, lay, stay, come, and give paw all in the 2 moths we have had him. The only problem has been that recently he's been barking for what seems like no reason at all. Sometimes it's things making noises in the house (washing machine, fridge, dishwasher, etc) and other times it's for no reason at all. Sometimes he will literally be asleep on our laps and just jump up and let out a bark. It's weird because sometimes he will jump up and bark once and lay back down but other times he will bark and growl no matter what we do to try to stop him. We've been spraying him with a water bottle if he barks long enough for us to grab the bottle and spray him but the biggest problem is the random times he lets out one bark and goes back to sleep. We also say "no bark" but a lot of times when it's just that one bark he's done anyway. It's almost been his routine now when we take him outside that he barks once or twice within a few seconds of getting out the door. He does it at 6am when we wake up during the week and at midnight before I go to bed. I cringe every time because our neighbors have young kids and their bedroom is right there. Any help on how to stop something like this? |
