| Any downsides of leaving a Thunder Shirt on for most of the day? Just wondering. Anything can make Lily nervous, so it's been on all day. Is it lessening its benefit if I leave it on too long.

| No problem leaving on the Thundershirt. My 2 little ones wear theirs in the winter to keep them wrapped up warm from drafts in the house. I wish I got one smaller now because my littlest one is only 2 lbs 14 ozs now due to kidney disease and she gets wrapped up twice in it but it works. Good luck.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Poor little thing, I hope she feel safe soon, it took Ralphie a while to feel safe and get over his panic attacks. We found that Comfort Calm, in addition to behavioral training, helped him get over the attacks. Comfort calm has Tryptophan an amino acid found in many foods that has a calming effect. It’s not like some of the tranquilizers that have a rebound effect. We haven’t had to use the pills in 9 months, but they were a real life saver at first. The idea behind using the thunder shirt and pills is that success breeds success, so if the shirt is working, use it, and then if you want to gradually take it off her when she’s in a super safe environment with little turmoil, you can take it off and gradually wean her from it. Another tip is try your best to act like there is nothing wrong if she freaks out, doesn’t baby her, this can make the nervousness worse. Best of luck! Here’s a link to the Comfort Calm. Vet's Best Comfort Calm (30 Chewable Tablets)
