| Potty Training Still.... Ruby Tuesday, my female Yorkie, is nearly a year old. She was born on Nov. 21, 2011 and I've had her since she was 10 weeks. She is the light of my day. The problem is...she still isn't fully potty trained. I don't know what I am doing wrong. Some days she is perfect with it and others she just goes wherever...Is this normal? I have never had a Yorkie or any animal before. Thanks for advise! |

| Welcome I thinks it's a common thing, I would just go back to square one to get her back on track. Love her name |

| Completely normal and I agree go back to square one. She will get it with consistency and patience.

| My oldest yorkie is 4 yrs old and still has accidents about every 4 months. My Maltese is 15 months and has accidents at least once a week. It's frustrating, but I keep at it. I wish they would let me know when they need to go out. I've tried the poochie bells and the tell bell with no success. They are crate trained, though. |

♥Love My 3 Furrbutts♥ Donating Member | Two of mine are over a year old and are NOW fully house trained...whew. We have a new little on who is 41/2 months old, no accidents TODAY..whoo hoo! Consistancy is key...yorkies are notorious for being more difficult to house train.

| Welcome to Yorkie Talk. I agree with everyone's suggestion to start at the beginning like you would with a new pup. I have a blog post with more suggestions: Potty Training Small Dogs - Dog Life and Style
