![]() Our little guy is 16 weeks old. we got him at 13 weeks and the first two nights he slept straight through the night from about 11PM-8AM. However, now his new thing is to get up around 3:30 to go potty. I am pretty sure he's doing it just to get out of his crate but didn't want to take the chance and have him have an accident. He does go pee and poop each time. However, after reading this I think I am going to start taking his food away two hours before bed and see if he can make it through the night! This site has such great info for newbies to yorkies like myself!! It's so great that everyone is so helpful and understanding ![]()

![]() Sunni goes out for the last time right before I go to bed. At first I had to get up a couple of times to put her on the wee pad…I did put an adult pee pad on the comforter on my bed with her blankie, so if she had an accident it wouldn't make a mess..lol. But I'm a light sleeper and could feel if she woke up. But, I'd say she's been sleeping thru the night for about 2 1/2 weeks now with no accidents. I get up early most of the time, between 5 and 5:30, but even if I sleep later on the weekend she'll wait for me to take her out.

![]() I am so happy this morning! We took Boomer's food away at 8:00 last night and after going to the bathroom at 9:30 we went to bed at 10. He slept until 6 this morning when our alarm went off! Yay! We are feeling so rested this morning ![]()

![]() I was incredibly lucky too! Cooper slept all night and never woke up during the night! I usually let him out about 11 for his last potty break and when I get up to go to work I wake him up to go back out about 6:30. But on the weekends he will sleep till 10 or so if I don't wake him up lol! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

![]() We got Finster at 8 weeks and the Mom and 2 pups stayed in a crate at the lady's house in her kitchen most of the time. So he was pretty much crate trained already. It did take about 3 days of getting up at 3 Am to curb the need to pee. our bigger GSD only took a few days too.. we got lucky on both. I've been putting him in the crate during the day for a few hours a day to get him used to it.. all is going well in the crate anyhow..

| ![]() Cali did from 3 months on...but I stopped responding to her whines and after 3 days she stopped whining. I honestly believe that if you keep getting them out when they whine then they will never stop.
