| Teaching Bella to leash walk....LOVE THIS SITE! Good Morning! I have learned so much from this site already great advise and tips. Now can someone advise on how to teach my Bella to walk nicely on a leash. Right now it is playtime when we are outside but I want to start walking her. She is 11 weeks plays hard and the crashes for a few hours...so cute she is!

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | An obedience course would be best, but in general: Always carry treats to hold the pup's attention -- and don't allow pulling. Get their attention by rewarding with a treat for a loose leash. If they start pulling, stop. Change directions whenever the pup tries to dictate the way. And always reward for a loose leash. If your pup isn't food motivated, get a better treat or hold a favored toy in front of them. Good luck!
