I've been keeping her in a play pen when I can't watch her like a hawk. Haven't found any secret spots yet.

Good news! Well at least you can figure out about when she'll be needing to go potty. I'd work around that and plan walks with treats for rewards for when she does goes. Usually once you catch them and reward them 2-3 times they'll begin to understand what you want. It took me 2 months to catch my Sapphire going in the right place just so I could reward her. Now she's almost 100% accurate when she does go. So keep trying... it'll be worth doing.

Thanks klc...was told I couldn't walk her until she had all her shots. : ( So we've just been using the pee pads. Been letting her run loose in her play pen with the crate open because I wanted her to feel free to pee and not hold it any longer. Should I just leave her confined in her crate and take her out every 2 hours to the pee pad in the play pen and only let her out to play when she finally does pee? She'll be spending ALOT of time in the crate if I do. I'm such a rookie at this! Keep telling myself that if I could potty train 2 kids I should be able to do this! LOL

Looks like my little stinker may not have been holding that pee and has been sneaking pee in her crate. I had been keeping a towel on the bottom but today her new bed arrived. Had to order one cause the crate is only 18 in. and all the ones at the pet store were too large. Anyway....I put her in for a nap and went upstairs. Heard her barking and by the time I got downstairs she had pee all over her new bed. Sigh....so it's in the washer now and she's temporarily in the travel crate. HELP! I thought they weren't suppose to go in their crates. What do I do???? She is 12 1/2 weeks old and I don't want her to develop this habit! Thanks for your advice!
