| Does anyone use dog litter? Hi! I would like to know if anyone use litter for dog? When it is raining my Yorki don`t want to go out of the house, so I put him pads in house. I was thinking to buy some dog litter, but I cant find it. There are all just for cats Does anybody know where can I get it? I think for cats are to small and that why he don`t want to go to pee there. Thank you! |

| My girls are litterbox trained and ive bought dog litter before, to my surprise it was the exact same thing as cat litter so i threw it out, i use pee pads in the litterbox and it works perfect! My problem with the litter was that they come out of the box and my whole floor was covered with litter yuck - would have had to keep the vacuum cleaner out all day

| Petsmart has it in the dog section. You can buy the kind that is the bigger kind and different then the cat little bits. I have about 20 lbs. of it but haven't tried it yet. My local grocery had a damaged bag sale and I got 2 bags for $2.00 each. Pads or newpaper in a box works good too.

| I tried the dog litter and my girls just ate it! I tried the natural cat litter too...they ate that and made a huge mess! It was a big waste of money!!! The pads work for us...although the girls are going through a shredding phase! What fun!!!

| I just got the second nature doggie litter pan from purina at petsmart yesterday. i put the potty pad in the litter pan and sprayed potty training spray on the potty pad. Bunjee went berzerk running around and jumping in and out of the litter pan until i removed the potty pad and he was able to potty onto the pad without the litter box. anyone else's pup started like this? i think having a litter box would be so much easier especially at times when he'd go on the corner of the potty pad and it would dribble onto the floor. are there slightly bigger litter boxes where i can place the potty pad nearly flat in the box? |

| Mine both use the litter box with cat litter in it. My neutered male however gets his front feet in the box & tinkles, evidently doesn't know how far back his dinky is so I have to keep paper in front of the box. I love having them potty box trained. We carry a small box in the car in the back seat floorboard & never worry about stopping. Would never go back to pottying outside in the elements.

| we dio paper in the box rocky is pretty much trained at 5 months lthough i don't give him unsupervised freedom to pee. we put paper in the box and if we're around and see him sniff we tell him to go on the paper which he does and then comes running out for a treat i tried the puppy pads which he thought were toys for shredding and then tried the litter which made him do berzerk!!! so we a stuck with paper. the nice thing about that is when we are out i can lay a piece of paper down in a bathroom and say go on the paper and he does it. he has peed in some really fancy restaurants bathrooms its very convenient! michelle |

| I love dog litter boxes! My baby Zoe has been trained to use the litter box ever since she was 4 weeks old, so I am a strong supporter of the dog litter and litter boxes. Just go to PetCo and buy one. After I got my second dog, it only took her 3 weeks to be trained. Yes she does eat the litter too, but only when I put a fresh batch of litter in there after I change it, and if you look at the bag it's NOT the same thing as cat litter, this is PAPER based not clay based. And if they eat it like dog food instead of like one pellet then all you have to do is say "no" or "bad" and they will stop. Hope I helped. |
