| Bayleigh does this all the time to Emily, but only when Em's chewing on a toy. I don't like it and I always make her stop. I got Bayleigh when she was three months old and she's done it since the day I brought her home. I'm really surprised that Em tolerates it. I sure wouldn't. Oh, and Bayleigh was spayed at 3.5 months. |

| Uni humps her beds. I find it amusing so I've never told her to stop it. She once humped a dragon toy, but that's about it. She didn't get spayed until she was almost 4 yrs, so I didn't think it would change anything. The only thing that changed about her after spaying was a better appetite! |

| [QUOTE=brendarash;376494 I have asked the vet many times about it. She said it is a dominance thing.I did not know what to think when they first did it. Lillie was 10 weeks old and used to hump our foot. So I knew it was not sexual. It can be embarrassing when we have people over. Rosie does not mind, she still does it. The looks they get. I try to stop it before any one see it, but that does not always work out.[/QUOTE] I do not let my Yorkies hump. I think they can and do learn other ways to spend their time. It is not sexual. It can become a bad habit. I chose to correct with a verbal cue of ATATTT, then redirect. None of my Yorkies hump toys or each other. I corrected when they were puppies. Abba is a little stud dog (not neutered)he only does the deed when a female in heat is presented.
