| Not really a training question, but help! I have been buying a few things for Buster & Maggie for Christmas, do I need to buy two of everything? They won't play together at all while I am at home. If I have one kind of a toy, they fight over who gets it, not a bloody fight but enough that I take it away. If I have two of the toys, they are only interested for a short while. I have a lot of toys that are two of a kind. The toy box is filling up, needlessly. I just bought a toy where they have to move the pieces around to get a treat, I know they won't play nice if I have only one. They will try to push each other out of the way to play. One will walk away looking like his feelings are hurt, then the other one will lose interest. But again, if I have two...neither of them will play. Any advice?

| Sorry, but I have to laugh...these yorkies of ours are such little squirts! Just like skin babies the way they behave sometimes. Anyway, what about a toy that could involve both, like the tug of war toys (kong)? Or maybe an interactive puzzle toy that involves thought and maybe they won't be so interested in fighting over it?

| Thanks for the compliment! They really act nice if I'm out of the picture, but they jockey for my attention and they each want it all to themselves. They are a lot of fun and I can't think of anything more I would rather have. You should try two, I only had one child so I wasn't prepared for how two of anything would act. If something happens they both look at each other. It really is a lot of fun, except when they 'fight'.

| Cooper and Max are the exact same way! I have a feeling most multiple dog households are. If I buy 2 of everything they will only play for a few minutes. But one??!! Oh my they will wrestle over it for hours.

| I bought one of the puzzles that you put the treats in and the dog has to find the treat and get it out. They loved it. The next day I bought another one. Yup, you guessed it, they want to play with the same puzzle at the same time. I should have stuck with just one puzzle because only one is played with. I should be happy they are playing together, right? They aren't playing together, it's a contest to see which little nose can get the treat out first. They are cute though.
