Default Not really a training question, but help!

I have been buying a few things for Buster & Maggie for Christmas, do I need to buy two of everything? They won't play together at all while I am at home. If I have one kind of a toy, they fight over who gets it, not a bloody fight but enough that I take it away. If I have two of the toys, they are only interested for a short while. I have a lot of toys that are two of a kind. The toy box is filling up, needlessly. I just bought a toy where they have to move the pieces around to get a treat, I know they won't play nice if I have only one. They will try to push each other out of the way to play. One will walk away looking like his feelings are hurt, then the other one will lose interest. But again, if I have two...neither of them will play. Any advice?
