| Missing his potty pad Bailee has done well with his potty training. He goes outside when out for a walk and uses potty pads inside. He is 1-1/2 now and has starting missing the pad. He is close, but doesn't always make it. Any suggestions?

| Same problem here. 11 month old Lewis now believes it is OK to only put his two front paws on the pee pad. He was very accurate up until the past couple months. I've tried putting a bottle in the middle of his pad for him to aim on, but he doesn't feel the need to 'mark' inside our own home, only outside. I'm not sure what to do anymore, other than continue to treat him when he gets it right, and to tell him NO when he misses. He can hold his pee in for a good 6-10 hours now, so it's not like I can watch him like a hawk waiting for him to go. I'm stumped. |

| I use dollar store shower curtain liners. I cut them in half and put the pee pad in the center. They can be washed and when they rip they are easily replaced. |

| I have a similar problem. I have two that are runaway poopers, lol. They will go over to the middle of the pad and start pooping. They are so good about always going on the pad but before the poop lands they start running off the pad and therefor it misses. If I am there standing in front of them though so they can't run they do good but for when I can't they end up running off. But how can you blame a dog when it goes on the pad but is just to impatient for gravity to fully take effect? I guess I should be thankful that they aren't runaway peers, lol.

Sorry, got the visual going here...this is what Hot Rod does too! He's so good about peeing on the pad but for some reason doesn't like pooing on the pad and when he does decide to use it for that he's running off it as he's doing it! lol

| I have the same problem... I do like the idea of the shower curtain... thanks!!! I will give that a try. Bentley trys to get it all on the potty pad, but sometimes misses the mark. If I have him outside, he always goes pee and poo. We are still a work in progress with the potty training. |

| Glad to hear we are not alone. The little 'accident' still beats going out in the rain and snow to go potty. And, he doesn't always miss. I can relate with the runaway poopers too!! Thank God we have little furbabies!!

| My roxy did this too. She would pee on the edge of the pad and it would go under or she would start pooping in the middle then circle around and end up pooping off the pad. I bought a dog litter tray and put the pads in there. It worked. Now I have a home made potty patch made with the doggy litter tray. Still works great. |

| One Hint for male dogs. Fill a plastic soda bottle with sand and put it in the middle of the pee pad. My creative granddaughter use a big soda bottle. She bought a small fake plant at WallyWorld and stuck it the bottle and filled the bottle with colored glass marbles. Cute and piratical.
