Not only does she sleep--she demands her own stack of pillows, 2 blankets and tucked in DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvaaaaaa aaaaaa. and we love it |
Well... I am such a light sleeper and do suffer from insomnia at times, so my babies sleep in an xpen at night. I did try a few times to let them sleep with me, but my little girl Chloe would wake me up every couple of hours wanting kisses. As much as I love her little kisses, we had to revert back to the xpen at night. They are perfectly content in there at night and I dont worry about them getting into anything. Now our newest addition Chewy is a whole different story! He hates his crate at night. But I am afraid that he will fall off our bed if I let him sleep with us. It is very high from the floor. |
Yeah my husband started letting Morgan sleep with us when he was 4 months old because he would get up 2 times a night wanting to go potty after my husband put him in bed with us he slept all night along. I think that he was just lonesome even though his crate was next to our bed |
my last dog slept in our bed, my bed now is way to high for Barkley to sleep in it with us, plus it's just too scary worrying about us rolling over on him, two pounds of cute little 8 week old Barkley. He sleeps in his crate and goes in at 9:30pm, he wakes up around 3am we take him out and he goes back, we have had some sleepless nights but when my hubby goes in the living room where the crate is and tells Barkley to knock it off and go sleepy, he does...he is so smart. I love him to pieces. |
Oh yes, Leelah sleeps with me and the hubby also. She is a cuddler! |
Tank started of in a babies playpen. As he reached the 6 month mark and seemed big enough not to be crushed, i allowed him in the bed. He of course could never reach t jump up on his own and then one day it happened and he was in.... he has never left. Now he is the biggest bed hog for 5 pounder. He never complains and never has had an accident in the bed. It's a source of comfort for me to feel him at my feet. I notice i miss the lump at my feet when i cant travel with him. |
Yes, my tinkerbell sleeps in bed with us. Just got a new 5mth old puppy and put her in the create for the 1st week, but 1 night she barked, got up and took her outside and went back to sleep, then she barked again and I took her back outside again. I decided to look at the clock and it was only 2am and she had been out 2 times already. Lets say that was the last time she was sleeping in the create :( Smart little thing, she now sleeps in bed and do not have to go outside at night anymore. |
:( I guess I am the mean mommy. Wallee just turned 9 months and he still sleeps in his crate in my room. Since we have 4 cats who are very active at night I find it easier to have him there in his quiet place. He has two beds in the living room that he crashes in at night but he is restless if he's up past his bed time. When I go to bed he follows me into my room and goes straight to his crate. My only problem is that he does the bulk of his eating at night and with the coyotes here and dark nights we don't walk at night therefore he has been waking very early to poo most mornings. |
OH NO! Bella was not going to sleep with us, she has her own bed...........well that lasted about a week, then into our bed she came........she is now 7.5 months old and I love it! |

Well I've bought a little chihuahua from her, paid loads of money, and 6 months later the dog had so many health problems that I just couldn't afford paying vet bills anymore and had to return the dog to this lady. She coned me for the second time then, she came to get the dog back and didnt give me all the money I paid for her in the beginning (£400 short). Useless to say that her promises on refunding me the £400 weren't fulfilled. Horrible experience. |
dog All Yorkie lovers know where their Yorkie wants to be-right in the bed. I let my two sleep in the bed. They each have a pillow to curl up on. No problems, when I turn out the light they know to lay down. I would not leave them downstairs alone. Their are people dogs and want to be with us. |

We attempted to let Sadie in our bed but she does better in her crate. We also have a little travel bag and when she has reached her over stimulated point she crawls into her travel bag. Her hard crate has a little bed and one of my shirts so she can snuggle down. The first night we had her she slept until 5am and I took her to the potty then brought her back to our bed she snuggled up with my dh and scared him half to death when he woke up because he thought he was crushing her. Our black lab sleeps on her doggy bed on Dh's side of the bed and Sadie has her pink crate on my side of the bed. |
Rhett and Scarlett have a California King Sized bed. We are privileged that we are allowed to sleep in it with them. I'm sure Cali will be up there at some point, too. But her tiny size has me wanting to wait for awhile. |
Im in the minority as our dog does not sleep in our bed and I wouldn't let her. It just isn't for me but she sleeps in her crate in my daughters room. She is very happy there listening to my daughters breathing. I would be too afraid she would fall off anyway and she already broke a leg once so I don't even want to chance another one. |

Sprout has slept with us since he was 12 weeks (he is now 14 years). Bella has slept with us since she was about 4 months(ish). It did not seem fair (to us) to allow one up there but not the other. Gypsy is far too small still, but she will most likely share the bed also. There are certain times when they all sleep on the floor in their blankets (I'm married, and won't go into detail)...but for the most part if we're in bed so are they. If you're considering whether or not to allow your dogs in the bed, I first recommend you make it very clear to them that there is a drop off with a bed and it isn't level with the ground. You should also have toy breed friendly stairs leading up to the bed or a toy breed friendly pet ramp. I do not agree with those who let their dogs in their bed and have no means of them getting up and down safely. |

Our 2 boys sleep with us!! Goliath and Gizmo sleep with us!! We got Goliath 1st and he was very scared and cried when we left him downstairs, then we tried to bring him up to the room and he cried until we brought him up on our bed. Then we got Gizmo and Gizmo stayed downstairs and never made a peep, but after a week we felt very bad that we left him downstairs so we brought him up to bed also. To our amazement they both sleep and cause no problems - it's unbelievable but it is working!! We do send them down to play so we can have our alone time!!:cool:;) |

Wow..... and I have resisted allowing my Binky to sleep on my bed,following the advice of vet and dog trainer.I would love to cuddle up to him but its likely that whoever has to look after him when I go abroad would not be keen.He sleeps either on a blanket on the floor beside my bed or in his crate which is near,(whichever takes his fancy!) and ..doesnt move! |
Both Nena and Rufus have their beds in our bedroom so we sleep in the same room. Rufus doesn't stay still when he is on the bed and we can't sleep so I put his bed next to my bedside and there is where he sleeps. Nena can be very quiet on the bed so we let her sleep with us but in the morning she on her own bed :) |
Both of my boys sleep in bed with us, and I wouldn't have it any other way....but I will admit that it has gotten in the way of my SO and I's "one on one" time together.On top of that, it makes it difficult when we leave town and they have to stay elsewhere. I refuse to kennel my dogs, so they go to stay at Grandma's...which is like a vacation for them because she has 2 of Princes sons. It's like a big doggie reunion and they aren't nervous or upset there. The only issue is the sleeping arrangements. My moms 2 dogs sleep in bed with her and her husband, but there is absolutely no room for my 2 boys and I wouldn't want them jumping off her bed and onto the wood floor anyways. So...my moms ends up sleeping with my boys out on couch. It reclines. Prince loves to go to bed. It's his most favorite time of day!~even better than meal time or his walks. In fact, he will sit and talk to me or start running towards the bedroom if he thinks it's past our bedtime...and when I tell say "lets go to bed" he hauls tail into the bedroom. It's pretty much the only time I see his little butt run!! LOL!! |
Bailey sleeps on his dog bed, near Ginger and Gus's dog bed. Our first dachshund, Beanie, slept in our bed and he fell out one night and hurt his back. We then decided it was better to let them sleep on the floor by our bed then in the bed. |
Jasper will start sleeping with us in 2 weeks or less. Our renovations will be finished and we will have our home back in order. He will be 7 months old on the 11th. I do have concern of him peeing on the bed during the night. He has been sleeping in his crate and has been pee pad trained. I take him for his last pee time around 10-10:30 every night. He holds it until we wake up between 6 & 7 every morning. My question is, have any of you had issues of your babies peeing on the bed at night? I want him to think of this as his bed and keep it clean. I just don't know how long it will be before he thinks like that. |
Trixie has been very good she will growl or bark if she wants down...now daddy watching her last weekend did somehow manage to let her have an accident. She did it at the end of the bed...guess she thought that was safe since she sleeps up top...but she had not done something like that since she was very young. She turned 1 last month. |
I have allowed Lennie to sleep with me since night 1. Because my husband is in the army he is away 5 nights a week, lennie is like my comfort teddy bear :) so warm and fluffy ! People call me mad and say its unhygienic, but as long as my yorkie is happy then I am :) |
