| Look on the bright side, at least she starts off on the pad. Mine goes all over the house. I had to start closing the bedroom door because I was finding dried up doggie chips under the bed She'll get it eventually. My Nikko confuses me too. Sometimes he walks right up to the wee wee pad and pees. Of course I get hysterically happy and praise him to no end. Half an hour later he'll go pee in the next room I guess we need to be patient, but sometimes it can get frustrating. |

| No problem. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful but I am a first time mom so I am learning as I go along. Sometimes I feel like he is never going to get it and then he surprises me. If he wasn't so darn adorable I would have given up a long time ago but I love my little furball to pieces. Your Lexi is a doll, I am sure Nikko would fall in love at first sight. |

| aww, thank you for that, i learned so much on this site just by asking questions. i am also a first time mom tooo... i think i have done a great job so for far as far as lexi goes... sometimes she falls off the wagon and i dont know why... i want her to have full run of the house when im not home, but, when she fails, i think twice....sometimes, she just pees on my bedroom rug, knowing there is a pad in there for her...right near the doorway...i just dont get it sometimes...

| I keep Nikko in the kitchen during the day. I close him in with the baby gate and leave him toys, a wee wee pad, food and water. I feel guilty doing this and every morning my last glimpse of him is his furry little face pressed to the gate looking like he's on death row. Needless to say I feel awful but I have to do this. he is still a baby and likes to chew on anything that fits in his mouth. But this also means that as soon as I get home, I have to mop the kitchen because he has peed everywhere but on the wee wee pad. |

| so lets find a way to do something about this.... tell ya one thing, id rather her poop and run than pee and run. lexi's poop are so hard, i just pick it up with a tissue and you would never know she did it there. as for pee pee , thats a bit of a problem.

| If it makes either of you feel better... My Pixie isn't completely faithful to her piddle pad duties. Some times she'll run for it to go, other times she just tries to go in the middle of the living room. When we aren't home, she gets penned off in an area of our kitchen (we use a puppy fence thing) with her kennel and piddle pad. She almost always uses it when she's locked up, it's just when she's free that we have problems..... My husband and I have commited ourselves to keeping a watchful eye on her when she's free. If we get any kind of indication she needs to go, it's back to her "area" until she's done. I think she's starting to pick up on it. She seems to go a lot faster after we've caged her now. I think she knows if she goes potty she gets to come back out.... Pixie is only 14 weeks now, I'm hoping we have her fully trained within the next few weeks.. But we'll see! How old are you doggies??? |

| All of my dogs do this poopy dance too. They start on the pad, walk a little, poop, walk some more, poop, walk faster, ppoooop, and then run dropping mommy little dew drops of fun to pick up all over the room. it's like a trail... |

| Jasmine is only new to me but I've noticed that about a minute before she poops she goes round and round in a circle - it is soooo cute and funny. It also gives us warning to pick her up and go to her spot! |

| Ok, I know I'm new at this and not experienced at all. But I take Grace out in the yard every couple of hours or more and she does her business in the yard. Reading the post above makes me think an option you guys haven't visited? |

As much as I would love for Pixie to go outside, that just isn't an option here in Wisconsin right now. It's starting to get soooo cold, and there's no way I would force our 2 pounds Pixie to go outside during our winter weather (it was only 20 yesterday and it hasn't even begun to get cold!) She doesn't like standing on our kitchen floor 'cuz it's a bit cool, I highly doubt she would go outside and stand on the ice!

I think she just wanted me to know that she is doing the right thing at the right place and completely forgot she is not done yet. Now I try to look away when she goes to the box and praise her like a crazy person when she came out. It seems to work very well with her. I hope this helps.
