| ![]() I'm researching and learning as muchas I can about the breed before I adopt and am wondering if it is true in some cases that even with puppy pad training sometimes your pup thinks that he is on the pad while on a rug or carpet? If this happens, how have you dealt with it? |

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | ![]() To help stop this, we use pee drops that we actually put on the pads to help them stand out from the carpet...it smells like urnine and helps direct them to wear to pee...95% of time it works, but with constant training they will learn where is correct and where is not...

| ![]() My pup pees on throw rugs all the time -- especially if they are a light color like the pee pads.

| ![]() During the training process I found it easier to remove all small rugs and such. Then once the potty training is mastered the rugs can be put back into place. ![]()
