| ![]() My sweet little Lucy will be two years old in August and she has NEVER asked to be let out. We usually just pick her up every two hours and put her out ~ like you would a puppy. Sometimes she runs because she doesn't want to go out! Today, for the first time ever~ I heard her rattling the venetian blinds on the back door. I look over and she was batting them with her paw - a clear sign she wanted out. I opened the door and she went out and did her business. I was so proud! Hopefully I can find a way to keep this going!

| ![]() Congratulations!!! I'm assuming you told her how amazingly smart she is and gave her a treat?

| ![]() Well, here's how lax I am - I wasn't sure when to give her the treat! I praised her when she came in and picked her up and told her what a good girl she was. Should I have run outside the minute she was done and gave her a treat? I thought about it but then thought - well maybe I should wait until she comes in . . . See what happens when you overthink things???

| ![]() Bravo Lucy! Tibbe is a totally outside going dog and just will not will not will not go in the house. I am so proud of him and love him so much though whatever he did would be okay. I'll bet you are that way with little Lucy.
