Update

I got Alice a harness and she's doing really well with it, every once in a while she notices the clip to the leash kind of on her back when she stops and the leash has a lot of slack but I hold the leash up a bit and then she's fine. We've just been walking around our yard so far since I want to wait until her vaccs. are done before we head into the neighborhood (pretty much every home here has at least 2 dogs lol).
Also, after numerous tries I got her to sit on command a few times

The small pet store I go to ,which I'm so gratefull to have because she only sells holistic products, recomended these tiny soft peanut butter treats and she loves them. She still only listens to "come" when she wants too lol but we're working on it.
I am having some trouble with "watch me" though and I know from doing puppy class with our Akita that it's crucial for everything else. It's almost like she's too submissive to look me in the eye. I show her the treat and then hold it inbetween my eyes and if she won't look I make some "happy noises" but she still won't usually look at me. When she does even for a split second I give the treat and praise but after a week of doing it I can't get more than half a second. She will look at me other times, just not when I ask her too lol. Any thoughts on that? Will she maybe get better with that as she ages?
